Principal & Founder

Kokou Amefia is a biomedical engineer, consultant, and inventor with over 20 years of experience developing innovative medical devices. As the founder of KAMA Consultants, he partners with physician founders and MedTech companies to transform early-stage concepts into functional prototypes and clinically viable technologies. His experience spans neurovascular, structural heart, electrophysiology, and catheter-based systems, with deep expertise in complex shaft design, balloon technologies, and minimally invasive delivery systems. Kokou is named on multiple patents reflecting his commitment to practical, clinically driven innovation. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University and a Master’s degree in Project Management, combining deep technical rigor with strategic leadership to move technologies efficiently from concept to early validation.
